Infrared temperature sensors are often installed in locations where accurate temperature monitoring is critical to production and quality. In many applications, operators need to view the same temperature readings from multiple locations without relying on a SCADA system.

A PyroMini infrared temperature sensor can be supplied with a dedicated display for local visualisation.

Often, the same temperature readout is also required elsewhere on the production line. By using the sensor’s RS485 Modbus output, the temperature readings can be duplicated to a PM180 6-channel local display.

This arrangement is particularly useful for applications such as metal forming lines, where multiple temperature measurement points need to be monitored from a single location.

Why Use a Remote Display?

By displaying temperature readings remotely, operators can immediately see changes while adjusting:

• Heater output
• Conveyor speed

This enables quicker process optimisation and improved production control.

3. Display Temperature Readings in Multiple Locations Simultaneously

Duplicating the display allows the same temperature reading to be viewed elsewhere, such as in the control room, without the need to import the data into a SCADA system.
