Modbus Infra-Red Temperature Sensor with 8-Channel Indicator

Customers looking for a low-cost system to measure up to eight surface temperatures and display the readings on a digital indicator should consider the Calex PyroMiniBus Infra-Red Temperature Sensor, supplied with a Pixsys STR571 indicator.

PyroMiniBus sensors are designed to measure the surface temperature of non-reflective materials in industrial applications, from -20°C to 1000°C. Sensors can be connected directly to a third-party Modbus Master, such as a PLC or SCADA system. They have direct RS-485 Modbus communications and there is no need for additional interface hardware.

The STR571 is a versatile interface and display unit for use with Modbus sensors, I/O modules, signal converters, and other Modbus-compatible devices. It is fully compatible with all Calex Modbus infra-red temperature sensors. Up to 8 sensors can be connected to the STR571 and you can view up to 4 variables simultaneously per page, with 2 pages available.

Typical connections would look like this:

The STR571 can be configured via a mobile phone using the free MyPixsys app, through the MyPixsysLab PC software, or manually using the front push-buttons.
